I am a big fan of iStockphoto for affordable stock photos and a great search and browse interface - but Photoshop Tutorials Blog provides a great roundup of free stock photo sources. Check out the comments for more suggestions.

iStockphoto also offers free stock photos on a weekly basis in a number of sizes. To access these just join iStockphoto.
